October Webinar Series On Church Vitality Pt 2

Last fall our Regional Pastor hosted a Clergy Conversation Call reflecting on the wisdom and beauty found in smaller and/or rural congregations. We celebrated the unique perspectives, hopes and dreams, and future possibilities for these faithful communities and noted how many of the same gifts and challenges were experienced in other congregations that are in mid-size and larger churches, as well as small towns and even urban settings. This conversation captured the attention of some other Regional Ministers and now three Regional Churches (Tennessee, Ohio, and Nebraska) are hosting a series of Monday night conversations in October on how we can help local congregations thrive and be ever more faithful and vital in mission and ministry in Christ's name.

We will use as the basis of our conversation the book Reclaiming Rural: Building Thriving Rural Congregations by Allen T. Stanton. Dr. Stanton will be present on our first call on October 2nd to present his findings and perspectives. Subsequent sessions will be led by the three Regional Ministers: Rev. Dr. Christal Williams of Tennessee (soon to be Indiana!), Rev. Dr. Chris Morton of Nebraska, and Rev. Allen Harris of Ohio.

The sessions will be each of the Monday evenings of October: October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th at 7:00 pm Eastern/6:00 pm Central/5:00 pm Mountain (US and Canada)
