Camp Christian Facilities Manager

The Christian Church in Ohio (Disciples of Christ) is seeking a full-time Camp Christian Facilities Manager. The Camp Christian Facilities Manager will perform all duties relating to the maintenance of all structures, infrastructures, and grounds of Camp Christian, the Christian Church in Ohio’s 93-acre regional camp and conference facility located in Magnetic Springs, Ohio. The Facilities Manager will furnish leadership and direction for assigned specialty areas. The Facilities Manager must live onsite.

Qualifications:
Must have camp facilities maintenance experience or comparable experience, creativity and vision, and be able and willing to work with diverse people. Preference for a person of faith.
- Experience: This position requires that the candidate will have previous experience in management and staff supervision. Experience and/or knowledge in wastewater treatment, drinking water, and overall maintenance are imperative.
- Knowledge: This person will have or is willing to seek knowledge of the Regional Church, its churches, its ministers and its goals.
- Respect: Regardless of the religious beliefs of the person holding the position, they will act in accordance with the values of the CCIO, which includes respecting the beliefs of all those participating in events at Camp Christian.
- Skills and Abilities: This person will have the ability to work in a collegial style, while also being self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. Must be well organized, adept with time management, and able to maintain necessary flexibility of scheduling. Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication, as well as consulting and strategic planning are essential. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills and be capable of dealing with stress. This person will have a keen sense of delegation and the ability to supervise part-time staff of diverse ages.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand for significant periods of time. Ability to climb in attics and on roofs. Ability to climb stepladders and extension ladders.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must accept and abide by the alcohol, illegal drugs and weapons policy of Camp Christian. Any violation may result in immediate dismissal.
- Must pass a background check completed by the Christian Church in Ohio
Compensation & Benefits:
Based on experience, compensation will be $40,000-$45,000 plus health care stipend, housing, utilities, and full pension.
