CANCELED - ETHICAL BOUNDARIES TRAINING
We are sorry to inform you that we must cancel the ethical boundary training scheduled for this Friday due to a medical emergency in the family of our trainer. We are asking that you please keep them in your prayers.
We will be planning future workshops and will announce these as we are able. We are also exploring the possibility of using online training courses offered through Wesleyan Theological Seminary as an alternative to face to face meetings. Additionally, courses on ethical boundaries and anti-racism are being offered at the General Assembly in Des Moines this summer. All of these options will increase the availability of standing and renewal of standing requirements as we continue to move through this interim period in our region’s life.
I want to assure you that standing renewal for our active and retired Ohio ministers in 2019 will be administered with grace and understanding when it comes to the training requirements of our policies. Standing this year will not be withheld solely on the basis of whether or not you have had a recent training in ethical boundaries and anti-racism.
Thank you in advance for your understanding as we face the challenges of this transitional period. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with your questions and concerns.
Yours in Christ,
Chair of Ohio COM
